Arcfield has secured a potential three-year, $117 million follow-on contract to continue supporting the U.S. Navy’s Trident II D5 Life Extension strategic weapon system, or D5LE SWS, the government services and mission support provider said Tuesday.

“This award is a testament not only to the strength of our partnership, but the infallible and consistent support our team has delivered for nearly seven decades,” said Arcfield Chairman and CEO Kevin Kelly, a previous Wash100 Award winner and a guest speaker at the Potomac Officers Club’s 2025 Air and Space Summit.
What Is the Scope of the Trident II D5LE Contract?
The award, which carries a one-year base period with two option years, covers independent scientific analysis, digital and systems engineering and operational support for the Trident II D5LE program. Arcfield will use advanced digital engineering methods to drive progress in hypersonic flight, advanced materials testing and complex assessments covering radiation, aerothermal and structural requirements. The company will conduct work in Colorado, with additional locations in Washington, D.C., New Mexico, Florida and Nebraska.
How Will Arcfield Address System Reliability?
The company will continue providing modeling, simulation and analysis to assess strategic weapon system hardening and vulnerability. The company will also refurbish submarine-launched ballistic missiles to extend their lifespan and verify performance across diverse environments.
