Apollo Information Systems Buys CyberDefenses in Service Offering Expansion Push

Apollo Information Systems has acquired CyberDefenses, a Texas-based managed security services provider, for an undisclosed sum to increase Apollo’s ability to help customers protect their operations from ransomware, nation-state attacks and other cyber threats.

Founded in 2001, CyberDefenses offers threat intelligence, incident response, election security and other cybersecurity services to U.S. federal, state and local government agencies and enterprises.

“Organizations need advanced skills from partners that can not only provide cogent advice but also deliver and manage security and IT operations for them, to defend what matters the most,” said Apollo CEO Mike Guglielmo.

Guglielmo added that the transaction will create a combined entity with expertise delivered by cybersecurity professionals who have experience in defending companies and the country against serious cyberthreats.

Apollo Information Systems has been providing information technology and cybersecurity services to federal, local and state government clients and companies since 2002. The company’s services include cyber threat intelligence, penetration testing, managed IT services, training, executive oversight, security monitoring and incident response.
