Andy Green, president of the mission technologies division and executive vice president of HII, has accepted the 2025 Wash100 Award from Jim Garrettson, CEO of Executive Mosaic.
The Wash100 Award is conferred annually to 100 government and government contracting leaders for driving innovation and growth within their respective organizations and their significant contributions to the govcon landscape.
In his seventh Wash100 win, Green is being honored for leading HII to win major government contracts throughout 2024. HII’s Mission Technologies division also underwent a reorganization, which led to $713 million in Q4 revenues and $2.9 billion in full-year revenues in 2024.
“Andy’s leadership at HII Mission Technologies has been a model of consistency and impact. Now a seven-time Wash100 winner, he has spent nearly 15 years with HII and has led its Mission Technologies division since 2016—guiding the company through major transformations, including last year’s reorganization into four operational groups,” commented Garrettson, who founded the Wash100 Award in 2014.
HII’s 2024 Government Contracts
Under Green’s leadership, HII Mission Technologies secured its largest deal ever. The division announced in December an indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract valued at $6.7 billion from the U.S. Air Force for electronic warfare engineering and technical services.
Mission Technologies also won a $3 billion task order from the Department of Defense for logistics and intelligence, surveillance, and reconnaissance support to the joint force.
The division also received a $458 million DOD task order to modernize agency communications and IT networks and enable rapid decision-making on the battlefield.
Mission Technologies Reorganization
In October, the Mission Technologies division combined its six operational groups into four, a move designed to drive long-term business growth. The four new operational groups are all-domain operations, global security, warfare systems and uncrewed systems groups.
Green said the reorganization will also enable the division to be “even more competitive” and ensure that customers receive the highest quality of service.
Congratulations to Andy Green and the entire HII team for another Wash100 win!
