As companies like Anduril continue to expand their role in space surveillance modernization and resilient defense networking, government and industry stakeholders are preparing to discuss the future of air and space operations at the 2026 Air and Space Summit. The Department of War said Tuesday the award increases the total ceiling value of the indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract from $99.7 million to $200 million.

What Is the Scope of the Air Force Contract?

Under the modification, Anduril will provide deployment, upgrades and continuous development of secure, resilient mesh networking capabilities for SDA and space surveillance network sensors.

Work will occur in Colorado Springs, Colorado; Costa Mesa, California; and various SDANet node locations through Sept. 23, 2027.

Space Systems Command’s directorate of contracting at Peterson Space Force Base in Colorado is the contracting activity. DOW stated that no funds were obligated at the time of the award.

In 2024, SSC awarded Anduril a $99.7 million contract to help modernize the Space Surveillance Network by delivering a resilient mesh networking capability.

What Other Defense & Space Programs Is Anduril Supporting?

The latest award follows several recent defense-related efforts involving Anduril.

In March, reports emerged that Anduril and Palantir were helping develop software for the potential $185 billion Golden Dome next-generation missile defense shield as part of an industry consortium.

In early 2025, the Air Force awarded Anduril a potential $99 million contract to conduct prototyping projects for the third phase of the Thunderdome Small Business Innovation Research initiative.
