Beacon Global Strategies has expanded its senior leadership team with the addition of Andrew Makridis as a senior adviser, Peter Modigliani as a vice president within the national security technology division and Matthew Sysak as chief financial officer.
Makridis served as the CIA’s chief operating officer for four years and retired in 2022 after 37 years of service at the agency, BGS said Wednesday.
He previously was a daily intelligence briefer to former President Bush, head of the Weapons and Counter Proliferation Mission Center and associate deputy director of the Directorate of Science and Technology.
Modigliani is a former U.S. Air Force program manager with more than two decades of experience in the defense and intelligence community.
His industry career includes time as a defense acquisition leader at Mitre and assistant vice president for program management at Alion Science and Technology.
He currently serves as acquisition lead for the Atlantic Council’s Commission for Defense Innovation Adoption.
Sysak brings 30 years of financial management experience that includes CFO tenure at Federated Wireless, Ready Education and EverFi.
