AMTEC to Supply 40mm Military Grenades to Iraq Under $85M Army Foreign Sales Deal

AMTEC has received a potential $84.5 million contract from the U.S. Army to produce 40mm grenade systems for Iraq

AMTEC will perform work under the firm-fixed-price, foreign military sales contract through September 30, 2019, the Defense Department said Tuesday.

The Army Contracting Command obligated the full contract amount from the service branch’s “other” procurement funds for fiscal 2014, 2015 and 2016.

Janesville, Wisconsin-based AMTEC manufactures low and high velocity 40mm grenades as well as firing devices, impact switches, precision fuzes and initiators for U.S. and international defense customers.
