AmerisourceBergen Wins $6B Contract to Support DHA’s Tricare Pharmacy Program

The Defense Logistics Agency has selected AmerisourceBergen for a potential eight-year, $6.06 billion contract to replenish pharmaceutical products and related items to order processing facilities for the Defense Health Agency-managed Tricare program.

AmerisourceBergen will act as the Tricare Pharmacy Program’s national prime vendor and provide backup support to ordering sites for the Pharmaceutical Prime Vendor Global War Readiness Materiel, the Department of Defense said Thursday.

DLA received three responses to the competitive acquisition program.

The firm-fixed-price requirements contract has a two-year base performance period slated to conclude on Dec. 16, 2024, followed by three two-year option periods.
