According to a SAM.gov notice posted Monday, Army Contracting Command-Rock Island awarded the contract, which includes requirements for materials and supplies related to O&M activities at the Army depot.
The company has a five-year base period to conduct contract works. If exercised, a three-year evaluated option with one-year ordering periods and a two-year evaluated option with one-year ordering periods will bring the contract to its potential performance duration.
HWAD is responsible for demilitarizing and disposing of unserviceable, obsolete and surplus munitions. The Army uses the depot as conventional munition storage where the service branch maintains ammo serviceability through inspection and renovation to ensure readiness.
The Army technically awarded the contract to DynCorp International, which Amentum acquired in November. The acquisition was aimed at transforming the former to become one of the largest providers of mission support services, accelerating business growth and expanding its market footprint.
