“The relocation of our company headquarters to Chantilly, Virginia, grants more convenient access not only for our local employees, customers, and partners, but also for everyone in our extended team who are doing business in the Washington, D.C. area,” Amentum CEO John Heller said in a statement released Monday.
Heller, a 2023 Wash100 awardee, said the company looks forward to expanding its business and building up connections in the Northern Virginia area.
Amentum plans to spend $495,000 on the relocation project and expects the move to generate 157 new jobs in Fairfax County.
The Virginia Economic Development Partnership and the Fairfax County Economic Development Authority worked together to encourage the company to select its future HQ location.
