Alpha Omega Integration will help a National Oceanic and Atmospheric Administration agency manage information technology systems for processing global environmental satellite data under a $63 million contract.
The Vienna, Virginia-based company said Wednesday it will provide IT support to more than 2,000 users of the Integrated Information Services contract for NOAA’s National Environmental Satellite Data and Information Service.
NESDIS processes data from Earth observation satellites for scientific research and weather forecasting use.
Gautam Ijoor, president and CEO of Alpha Omega Integration, said the company used an approach in understanding the NESDIS mission to propose a platform intended to help the agency manage IT system performance and operational risk.
The company will assist the agency in efforts to administer systems and networks, secure information, manage databases and create web applications.
