Alion Science and Technology has secured a four-year, $182M task order from the U.S. Navy to develop a virtual and constructive training platform.
The company said Tuesday it will design, analyze and build the Navy Continuous Training Environment for the Naval Surface Warfare Center's Corona division.
The project will leverage emerging training and network security technologies intended to help the service branch address fleet training wholeness requirements.
“As we migrate to multi-domain operations, it is imperative that training environments and solutions excel at providing real-world training and mission rehearsal support for our warfighters,” said Katie Selbe, senior vice president and general manager of Alion’s cyber network solutions group.
The NCTE system will be built to support training of joint semi-automated forces. The program’s focus areas include software design, electromagnetic spectrum operations, integration, cybersecurity and undersea warfare training.
The Air Force Installation Contracting Center issued the award under the Department of Defense Information Analysis Center Multiple Award Contract.
