JPATS Logistics Services has won a potential five-year, $2.2 billion contract to help the U.S. Air Force manage base supply of T-6 Joint Primary Aircraft Training Systems.
The Defense Departmentsaid Wednesday the company will also help T-6 users accomplish daily flight schedules as well as provide transparent supply chain management services in accordance with DoD and commercial sector practices for production, delivery and procurement.
DoD added that work will include assembly, disposal, distribution, supply and demand management, sourcing, warehousing, inventory tracking, order entry and management support for U.S. Air Force, Army and Navy T-6A/B/D Texan II aircraft programs.
The Air Force Life Cycle Management Center obligated $10.5 million at the time of award from Army and Navy operations and maintenance funds in fiscal 2018.
Work will occur at various military air bases in Alabama, Florida, Maryland, Mississippi, Oklahoma and Texas through Dec. 31, 2022.
JPATS Logistics Services secured the award via a competitive acquisition which received four bids, noted DoD.
