The Air Force Research Laboratory has awarded three companies a $49.9 million indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract to conduct research and development of digital signal processing systems.
Black River Systems, North Point Defense and Geon Technologies will compete for cost-plus-fixed-fee or firm-fixed-price orders to provide military personnel hardware and software platforms for detecting “high-priority” radio frequency emissions, the Department of Defense said Friday.
The seven-year contract also entails R&D and integration of technologies intended to collect, detect and exploit emerging significant signals gathered through different collection tools.
AFRL received 10 offers for the project via a competitive bidding process and the military research organization is obligating $4.4 million at the time of the award.
Work performance will take place in Rome, New York, through July 15, 2028.
