Booz Allen Hamilton(NYSE: BAH), Universal Technology Corp. and University of Dayton Research Institute have won positions on a seven-year, $44M contract to help the U.S. Air Force build aircraft systems to deliver cargo and weapons globally.
All three contractors will aim to develop, integrate and demonstrate aerospace vehicle technologies through the military branch’s Structures Engineering Research program, the Department of Defensesaid Friday.
Tasks under the indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract encompass basic, applied, advanced and demonstration or validation research services.
The Air Force received three offers for the project via a competitive acquisition and will incrementally fund the initial task order with $50K in fiscal 2019 research and development funds.
Work will occur at contractor facilities in Dayton, Ohio, and McLean, Va., through December 2025.
