Boeing has secured a contract modification valued at $2.26 billion for the sustainment of the U.S. Air Force’s C-17 Globemaster III military transport aircraft. The Department of Defense said Monday that the modification includes foreign military sales to Australia, Canada, India, Kuwait, Qatar, the United Arab Emirates, the United Kingdom and the NATO Airlift Management Program.
Work will be performed at various locations in and outside the United States, including in the company’s facility in California and the Robins Air Force Base in Georgia. The anticipated completion date is October 2027.
The Air Force Lifecycle Management Center at Robins AFB serves as the contracting activity.
Contract Details
The award builds on a potential $23.76 billion contract the Air Force awarded to Boeing in September 2021. The contract has a nine-year period of performance, including options.
The contract covers the provision of program management, quality assurance, engineering, depot-level aircraft maintenance and modifications, and field services. Under the contract, Boeing will also deliver unique foreign military customer services and work with the Air Logistics Center to support C-17 aircraft worldwide.
