The U.S. Air Force has awarded 15 companies positions on a potential nine-year, $975 million contract to provide logistics support and help U.S. and partner agencies carry out national security missions.
The service branch received 16 proposals for the multiple-award, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract, the Defense Departmentsaid Monday.
The contractors will compete for task orders to perform minor construction work and provide equipment and services in order to help U.S. and partner organizations detect and defeat threats associated with narcotics, piracy, trafficking, threat finance networks and transnational organized crime.
Work will occur within the continental U.S. and outside the country through Jan. 28, 2025.
The Air Combat Command Acquisition Management and Integration Center will obligate $50, 000 in fiscal 2016 operation and maintenance funds to each contractor at the time of award.
