The U.S. Navy has tapped Air Center Helicopters to provide cargo transfer services between ships deployed worldwide over a potential five-and-a-half-year period.
The Burleson, Texas-headquartered airlift support provider will conduct vertical replenishment services under a $77.3 million firm-fixed-price contract from the Navy, the Department of Defense said Wednesday.
Air Center Helicopters will support Combat Logistics Force ships of the T-AKE class and help meet Seventh and Fifth Fleet requirements.
The performance period is from July 31, 2024, to Jan. 30, 2030, if all contract options are exercised. In addition to a one-year base period, there are four one-year option periods and an option to extend services for up to six months.
Military Sealift Command serves as the contracting activity.
Since its establishment more than three decades ago, Air Center Helicopters has been providing airlift services in support U.S. and foreign governments as well as institutional and commercial customers. It is a U.S. owned and operated small business concern and qualifies as a Fly America and Buy American Act firm.
