Aerospace Names Former Northrop Grumman Executive Blake Bullock as EVP

The Aerospace Corp. has appointed national security space executive Blake Bullock as executive vice president, placing her in charge of the company’s technical organizations as it supports government space missions. Aerospace announced the leadership move on Wednesday, noting that Bullock will assume the role on Feb. 2.

Tanya Pemberton, appointed president and CEO of Aerospace in September 2025, previously held the EVP role.

What Will Bullock Oversee at Aerospace?

As EVP, Bullock will lead Aerospace’s customer-facing organizations, research and laboratory capabilities, engineering backplane and technology investment activities, all of which involve more than 3,700 engineers and scientists.

Pemberton said Bullock’s experience across national security, civil and international space positions her to help Aerospace address complex technical challenges tied to national priorities.

Who Is Blake Bullock?

Bullock joins Aerospace from Northrop Grumman, where she most recently served as a vice president overseeing military and missile defense space units. In that role, she led work across satellite communications, overhead sensing, missile warning and missile defense systems, proliferated architectures and laser communications technology.

Her Northrop experience also included leadership roles involving systems engineering, strategic planning and program execution. Bullock has been involved in civil space missions, including NASA’s James Webb Space Telescope, the Chandra X-ray Observatory and a lunar spacecraft program.

Earlier in her career, Bullock held roles at NASA headquarters, Goddard Space Flight Center and the Office of the Secretary of Defense focused on strategic and space programs.

The new Aerospace EVP earned her bachelor’s degree in astrophysics from the University of California, Berkeley. She holds a master’s degree in astronomy from Wesleyan University.
