AECOM’s (NYSE: ACM) URS Federal Services subsidiary has wrapped up the transition phase for a potential 16-year, $3.6 billion contract that covers range support services to the U.S. Air Force.
URS Federal Services completed the transition after the service branch addressed a protest that delayed commencement of contract work, AECOM said Thursday.
John Vollmer, president of AECOM’s management services group, said the contract works to support the company’s backlog growth in fiscal 2017.
Vollmer, an inductee into Executive Mosaic‘s Wash100 for 2017, noted that AECOM aims to continue and build up its partnership with the Air Force through delivery of mission-critical support.
The contract awarded in April covers target management services for tactics development, testing, advanced training and joint and Air Force operational missions at several air force bases and testing ranges in Nevada and California.
Those locations include the Nevada Test and Training Range, Leach Lake Training Range in California and Creech Air Force Base in Nevada.
