An AECOM-led (NYSE: ACM) joint venture has received a $450 million contract extension to support the Energy Department‘s liquid waste management operations at the Savannah River Site.
Savannah River Remediation will continue to operate the defense waste and saltstone processing facilities, as well as build a tank closure cesium removal system and an additional saltstone disposal unit, AECOM said Friday.
Bechtel, BWX Technologies and CH2M are partners in the joint venture.
Work under the contract extension began June 1 and will continue through March 31, 2019.
