Adil Karim, an aerospace and defense executive, has been appointed chief technology officer at Antenna Research Associates, according to a press release the company sent to GovCon Wire.
In his new role, Karim will leverage his experience in technical leadership and business development for complex defense systems.
What Experience Does Adil Karim Bring to ARA?
Karim brings more than two decades of experience across the defense and private sectors. He spent more than four years at Northrop Grumman, where he most recently served as vice president of strategy and mission solutions, overseeing business development, investment strategy and mission analysis across three business units. He was also the company’s VP of growth and mission solutions and director of capability integration.
Before joining Northrop, the executive served as the chief engineer for architecture initiatives within the acquisition, technology and logistics office at the Department of the Air Force and as a science and technology adviser to the undersecretary of defense for intelligence.
Karim also spent nearly a decade at Johns Hopkins Applied Physics Laboratory, where he led projects in communications; radar; electronic warfare; and intelligence, surveillance and reconnaissance systems, and served as project and program manager across multiple sectors.
Earlier in his career, Karim worked as an optical scientist and program manager at L3 Technologies, a senior business development engineer at Source Photonics and a test engineer at Agility Communications.
