Ten companies won spots on a potential $944 million contract to provide maintenance, modernization and repair services for non-nuclear surface vessels of the U.S. Navy.
The indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract is expected to be carried out by January 2029 in Everett, Washington, where the ships are homeported, the Department of Defense said Friday.
The vendors will compete to deliver short-term support for the Chief of Naval Operations, as well as emergent and continuous maintenance of the ships.
Part of the funding will be obligated from the Navy’s fiscal 2024 operations and maintenance budget, while the rest will be determined on a per-order basis.
