F-35 Logistics Information System Contract Modification Scope
The Department of Defense said Wednesday the modification to the fixed-price incentive, cost-plus-fixed-fee, indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract facilitates the continued production of the system’s components like the Autonomic Logistics Information System, Operational Data Integrated Network and Mission Planning Environment hardware used by the F-35 aircraft. In addition, Lockheed will also provide the required support to deploy the F-35 ODIN and MPE, along with components for future ODIN and MPE enhancements for F-35A, F-35B and F-35C aircraft. The contract directly supports the F-35 Joint Strike Fighter program for the Navy, Air Force, Marine Corps, foreign military sales clients and F-35 Cooperative Program Partners.
Lockheed will carry out 95 percent of the work in Orlando, Florida, while the remaining work will be in Fort Worth, Texas. The contract is expected to run through August 2027. The Naval Air Systems Command in Patuxent River, Maryland, will allocate funds as individual orders are placed.
