According to an award notice published Tuesday on SAM.gov, the awards under the FirstSource III ITVAR functional category will be effective Sept. 30.
DHS said there are three awardees in the 8(a) category, seven in the HUBZone category, five in the service-disabled veteran-owned small business category, four in the woman-owned small business category and 11 in the all small business category.
In 2021, DHS released a solicitation for the potential 10-year, $10 billion FirstSource III contract for IT hardware, software, value-added reseller and IT managed services.
According to the solicitation, ITVAR includes all commercial off-the-shelf IT hardware and equipment, including small form factor, static, domain, virtual desktop infrastructure and peripheral devices.
The department noted that it will provide additional information on awards under the contract’s software functional category in the first quarter of fiscal year 2025.
