- KBR has brought on Michael LaRouche to lead its planned MTS spinoff
- Gabe Butler will oversee Trinzic investor relations ahead of Nov. 12 investor day
- Trinzic’s portfolio spans air and missile defense, space and more
Michael LaRouche, former CEO of Serco North America, has begun serving as president and CEO-designate of Trinzic, KBR‘s planned Mission Technology Solutions, or MTS, spinoff.
KBR said Thursday it also named finance executive Gabe Butler vice president-designate of investor relations for Trinzic, with his start date set for Oct. 5.
What Is the Planned Trinzic Spinoff?
KBR first disclosed plans to separate its MTS segment into a standalone public company through a tax-free transaction in September 2025 and later unveiled Trinzic as the planned spinoff’s new name. In June, the company tapped LaRouche and Nicholas Veasey for the spinoff’s top executive posts, with Veasey designated as executive VP and chief financial officer.
Trinzic is scheduled to begin operating as an independent, publicly traded company on Jan. 4, pending regulatory approvals and a final decision by KBR’s board of directors. After the separation, Stuart Bradie will continue to lead KBR, which will retain its Sustainable Technology Solutions business.
Trinzic’s 18,000-person workforce will include engineers, scientists and other specialists who work directly within customer programs or at the company’s 60 sites worldwide. LaRouche is based at the company’s principal executive office in Arlington, Virginia. KBR said Trinzic’s presence in the Washington, D.C., area supports engagement with policymakers and work alongside Pentagon and intelligence community customers.
The standalone company is expected to generate more than $5 billion in revenue from a portfolio covering integrated air and missile defense, global operations, human performance, space exploration and space domain awareness.
Who Is Michael LaRouche?
LaRouche is a three-time Wash100 awardee who previously led Serco North America as CEO. At Trinzic, he will be responsible for setting the company’s strategy and managing its execution.
His approximately 30-year career in the defense, space, cyber, intelligence and government services sectors includes positions as president at SAIC, vice president at Raytheon and director at Lockheed Martin. He has also overseen national security programs and teams in the U.K. and Australia, applying his background in engineering and systems integration.
Who Is Gabe Butler?
Butler is a finance executive whose career of more than 14 years covers program finance, investor relations and financial planning and analysis. He comes to Trinzic from BWX Technologies, where he was director of financial planning and analysis for the government operations segment. Before that, he held leadership positions in finance and investor relations at Leidos.
Butler will help plan and run Trinzic’s first investor day, scheduled for Nov. 12 in New York City, where the company’s leadership team will outline its strategy, growth plans and financial outlook.
