In his new role, Reyes will lead teams delivering mission-critical technologies to the Department of War and other federal customers while helping advance SMX’s mission strategy. His responsibilities span command and control, mission IT and systems that connect operators within combatant commands and coalition partners.

He will strengthen collaboration among engineering, delivery, technology and growth teams and accelerate the delivery of secure, mission-focused capabilities supporting operations for clients in complex environments.

Reyes is a technology executive with more than 20 years of experience spanning national security, mission modernization, artificial intelligence, cloud computing, data analytics and cybersecurity.

Before joining SMX, he spent four years at Maximus as VP of solutions engineering and cloud solutions leader. He also served as senior customer solutions manager at Amazon Web Services, helping public-sector organizations accelerate cloud modernization and digital transformation initiatives.

Earlier, the company appointed Michael Lehr as senior vice president of space and intel and named Scott Barr chief operating officer.
