The Air Force has awarded 19 companies spots on a potential 10-year, $4 billion indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract for Air Education and Training Command base operations support services.

The latest Air Force contract award comes as military leaders continue efforts to sustain installation readiness and mission support capabilities. The 2026 Air and Space Summit, scheduled for July 30, will bring together government and industry leaders to discuss artificial intelligence and machine learning, interoperable optical networks, commercial space relay and other priorities shaping the future of air and space operations. The Department of War said Monday the Air Force received 22 offers for the multiple-award IDIQ contract through a competitive acquisition process and obligated $47,500 in fiscal 2026 operations and maintenance funds at the time of award.

The 338th Enterprise Sourcing Squadron at Joint Base San Antonio-Randolph Air Force Base in Texas is the contracting activity.

In 2024, ASRC Federal Gulf State Constructors received a $146 million Air Force contract to provide base operations support for the 82nd Training Wing and 80th Flying Training Wing. In 2023, Akima Intra-Data was selected to support the 81st Training Wing under a potential $200 million contract.

What Is the Scope of the Air Force IDIQ Contract?

Under the contract, the awardees will provide base operations support across several areas, including resource management; transient aircraft maintenance; communications and IT; visual information services, publishing management; installation management; operations and management; grounds maintenance; and installation engineering.

The IDIQ contract also covers emergency management, vertical transportation equipment, fire and emergency services, airfield management, supply and logistics material management services, purchasing, transportation, human resources, community services, weather support and custodial services.

The contract will run through June 30, 2036, and covers work at 11 Air Force installations across Oklahoma, Texas, Alabama, Mississippi, Arizona and New Mexico.

The award came five months after the Air Force awarded 17 companies spots on a $7 billion contract for contract field item labor augmentation support.
