Future Technologies Venture has appointed Sarah Campbell, former research executive at George Mason University, as chief operating officer as the company advances strategic growth initiatives following a recapitalization completed in October.
The Suwanee, Georgia-based systems integrator said Tuesday Campbell officially assumed the role on Monday, May 4, and will help support operational execution as the company scales its capabilities and workforce to meet increasing demand across government and commercial markets.
“Demand for advanced connectivity is accelerating across every market we serve, and we are moving aggressively to scale the business—expanding our capabilities, investing in talent, and positioning the company for sustained growth,” Pete Cappiello, CEO of Future Technologies. “Sarah’s leadership will be instrumental as we execute on that strategy.”
Who Is Sarah Campbell?
Campbell most recently served as associate vice president of research for defense and security and head of special projects at George Mason University. In these roles, she led initiatives focused on expanding research capabilities, improving operational performance and scaling infrastructure environments.
She previously served on Future Technologies’ advisory board supporting government initiatives before joining the company full time as COO.
In December, Campbell was named to the Intelligence and National Security Alliance’s advisory committee.
She previously served as chief of staff at the University of Maryland’s Applied Research Laboratory for Intelligence and Security.
Campbell also led strategic partnerships and communications at the National Geospatial-Intelligence Agency’s research component and served as lead for the Defense Advanced Research Projects Agency’s Office of International Cooperation.
Her industry career included time as a senior program manager at SAIC and as a public policy analyst with geopolitical publishing firm Strategic Forecasting.
Campbell said Future Technologies is in a period of growth as the company works to scale operations and meet increasing demand.
“I’m excited to help bring structure, operational rigor, and focus to this next chapter, enabling the team to execute at a higher level and continue delivering for our customers as the company grows,” she added.
