Exostar has promoted Greg Sengpiel to vice president of aerospace and defense sales, the company announced on LinkedIn Saturday.

In his new role, Sengpiel will lead Exostar’s global go-to-market strategy for its aerospace and defense business, broadening his oversight of the firm’s defense portfolio. He will be responsible for driving performance, supporting customers and expanding the sales team.
Who Is Greg Sengpiel?
Sengpiel is an industry veteran with more than 10 years of experience in enterprise software, software development and disaster recovery. He has been with Exostar for over four years, during which he helped expand the company’s footprint across the defense industrial base and advance its Cybersecurity Maturity Model Certification Ready Suite. This toolkit streamlines the compliance journey for contractors through self-assessments, supplier performance risk system scoring and policy optimization. Previously, as senior director of sales and alliances, Sengpiel scaled strategic software-as-a-service offerings in secure collaboration and identity management.
Earlier in his career, he held leadership positions at Digital.ai, Delphix and CollabNet VersionOne, focusing on enterprise sales and alliance strategy. He also held executive roles at Original Software, CompuCom and SunGard Availability Services.
Leadership Moves Highlight Growth Strategy
Sengpiel’s promotion follows another key leadership move with the elevation of Amy Hogan to chief information officer, the first in Exostar’s 26-year history, in early April. In this role, Hogan oversees enterprise IT, platform enablement and technology strategy while aligning investments with product innovation and supporting operations across the company’s network of more than one million users.
