Granicus Acquires Indigov to Boost Public Service Experience

Granicus has acquired Indigov, combining advanced constituent relationship management and customer data platform technologies with Government Experience Cloud to help government agencies deliver more data-driven, personalized and responsive digital services.

According to Granicus, the integration will enable governments to better understand citizen sentiment, improve service delivery and streamline interactions across departments and channels through real-time visibility into constituent inquiries, behavior and feedback.

“By integrating Indigov’s proven CRM, CDP, and inbound constituent management capabilities into the Government Experience Cloud, we’re substantially advancing our ability to help agencies grow their reach, deepen constituent understanding, and deliver more relevant, responsive experiences,” said Mark Hynes, CEO of Granicus.

What Capabilities Does Indigov Add to Granicus’ Platform?

Indigov’s system offers a unified platform for managing constituent relationships across government offices. It consolidates communication from multiple channels — email, phone, social media and web — into a centralized inbox that routes messages to the right departments, automates responses and tracks all interactions.

Its CRM capabilities preserve constituent data and interaction histories, allowing staff to deliver consistent and personalized responses over time.

Indigov’s CDP capabilities, meanwhile, will enable the engagement, sentiment and behavioral data with CRM records. With these, agencies could segment audiences, detect emerging issues and refine communications strategies to strengthen trust and responsiveness.

How Does the Acquisition Advance Granicus’s Technology Road Map?

It follows recent releases such as Government Experience Agent, an artificial intelligence-powered digital agent for the public sector, and Government Experience Insights, which offers audience and experience intelligence features.
