True Anomaly, a space and defense technology company, has named former York Space executive Sarah Walter as its chief operating officer. The Denver, Colorado-headquartered firm said Tuesday that Walter will lead the development and execution of an operational framework that will ensure the delivery of complex systems on schedule and with the performance required for space missions.

Walter joins True Anomaly from York Space, where she served as vice president of engineering and was instrumental in the company’s expansion. She also held executive positions at Aero Gearbox International and Rolls-Royce.
“Sarah will ensure that our operational capabilities match the ambitions of our mission, combining the disciplined systems engineering, supply chain rigor, and quality standards she honed at Rolls-Royce with the execution speed and adaptability she proved at York,” commented Even Rogers, co-founder and CEO of True Anomaly. “Sarah will be a force multiplier for True Anomaly’s mission success by creating the operational environment in which our teams can consistently deliver breakthrough space superiority capabilities.”
True Anomaly Pursues Growth
The COO’s appointment comes during a period of growth for True Anomaly. In April, the firm secured a $260 million investment during its Series C funding round, which was led by Accel and participation from Meritech Capital, ACME Capital, Space VC, Riot Ventures, Menlo Ventures and other investors.
True Anomaly also plans to scale its workforce to 250 employees by the end of 2025 and continue the construction of its facilities in Centennial, Colorado, and Long Beach, California.
