Radiance Technologies has named Jay Town, a legal professional, chief compliance officer and promoted Seth Crochet, a vice president at the company, to executive VP and general counsel.
The company said Friday Town will manage compliance operations, improve Radiance’s risk management capabilities and oversee regulatory relationships with government agencies.
Town’s “significant legal experience and acumen will assure that Radiance maintains its high levels of compliance while protecting the cutting-edge solutions developed by Radiance,” said Radiance CEO Bill Bailey.
Crochet will serve as corporate secretary to Radiance’s board of directors and oversee the company’s legal representation.
“I have full faith and confidence in Seth. I have watched him mature from a young lawyer into a responsible corporate attorney who exercises good judgement,” Bailey said in a statement published Thursday.
Who Is Jay Town?
Town previously served as U.S. Attorney for the Northern District of Alabama between 2017 and 2021. During this time, he took part in the Department of Justice’s China Initiative to help address economic espionage matters. He also served on the President’s Commission on Law Enforcement and the Administration of Justice.
He spent more than a decade as a senior prosecutor in the Madison County District Attorney’s Office and served as a judge advocate in the U.S. Marine Corps.
The University of Notre Dame graduate holds a Juris Doctor degree from Seton Hall University School of Law.
Who Is Seth Crochet?
Crochet has over 10 years of legal experience in various areas, including corporate law and governance, government contracts, employment law, ITAR compliance, Employee Stock Ownership Plan regulatory matters and Employee Retirement Income Security Act compliance.
In 2017, he joined Radiance as an associate contracts administrator. Since then, he has held roles of increasing responsibility, including in-house legal counsel and VP and general counsel.
He is an Alabama Lawyers Assistance Program advocate and a board member of the National Children’s Advocacy Center.
The University of West Florida political science graduate holds a JD degree from Barry University School of Law.
