Astrion CEO David Zolet Receives 2025 Wash100 Award From Executive Mosaic’s Jim Garrettson

Executive Mosaic CEO Jim Garrettson has presented the 2025 Wash100 Award to David Zolet, CEO of Astrion. The award marks the fifth time that Zolet has been selected as one of the 100 most impactful and influential leaders in government and the government contracting industry.

Zolet is a long-time GovCon leader who has held executive positions at CentralSquare Technologies, LMI, CSC and IBM. He has served as CEO of Astrion since 2023.

“It’s about time Dave made another Wash100 appearance,” commented Garrettson, who founded the Wash100 Awards in 2014. “A GovCon superstar with prior leadership roles at LMI, Northrop Grumman, IBM and CSC, he’s always been an entrepreneur at heart, and now he’s making things happen at Astrion.”

David Zolet Leads Astrion’s Growth & Expansion

Zolet is instrumental to Astrion’s expanded presence in the defense and federal civilian markets through the company’s acquisition of Axient in mid-2024. Axient is a provider of advanced technology, mission engineering and operations and multidomain test and analysis services to government and military customers.

His leadership also resulted in major contract wins for Astrion.

In March 2024, Beyond New Horizons, Astrion’s joint venture with Fluor, secured the Test Operations and Sustainment II, or TOS II, contract from the U.S. Air Force to support the Arnold Engineering Development Complex. TOS II is valued at up to $3.7 billion and comes with a 12-year period of performance.

Joint Technical Solutions, a joint venture between Astrion and AI Signal Research Inc., also booked a $910 million contract from the U.S. Army for test and engineering services in support of the Redstone Test Center.

Executive Mosaic congratulates Zolet and the Astrion team for their 2025 Wash100 win.
