The Department of the Army’s Joint Munitions Command has awarded General Dynamics Ordnance and Tactical Systems a potential $464.6 million contract to produce 120mm M865A1 tank training ammunition .
The DAF announced the award through a SAM.gov notice posted Monday. According to the award notice, the Saint Petersburg, Florida-based company will also provide various engineering actions related to the command’s new production requirements.
Other 120mm Tank Training Ammunition Contracts In June, the Army Materiel Command selected Northrop Grumman to provide 120mm M1002 tank training ammunition and M1002 ammo cans under a $354.9 million firm-fixed-price contract. This award exercised an option under the contract that Northrop received from the Army in 2022, extending the project until September 2026.
General Dynamics OTS also secured a $727.8 million contract from the Army in June. The FFP contract covered the procurement of 120mm insensitive munition high explosive with tracer tank ammunition cartridges .
