According to the request for proposal posted on the Department of Homeland Security’s Acquisition Planning Forecast System Friday, the CBP OIT is seeking contractors capable of providing network management support services for NOC facilities in Ashburn and Springfield, Virginia, and the Wireless Network Operations Center, or WNOC, in Orlando, Florida.
NOC Network Management Support Services Contract Scope
The selected contractor will provide around-the-clock management, operations and maintenance services to support all CBP network infrastructure. This includes real-time incident monitoring, proactive and predictive analysis and reporting, incident resolution and escalation, and problem management. The contract also covers management of network-related events and analysis of network utilization and availability.
Under the contract, management services will be provided for Local Area networks, Metropolitan Area networks, Wide Area networks, Enterprise Data Management and Engineering Directorate LANs, and Wireless Local Area networks.
The contract, valued at over $100 million, will be carried out in Ashburn, Virginia. Peraton is the incumbent contractor.
The CBP Network serves as the central hub for all network-related activities, including troubleshooting, updates, router and domain name management, and coordinating with affiliated networks.
