Army Awards 8 Spots on $499M GRIDS IV Contract

The U.S. Army has awarded spots to eight companies on a $499 million contract for the Geospatial Research, Integration, Development and Support IV, or GRIDS IV, program.

The Department of Defense said Monday the companies selected to compete for each order of the contract are:

Leidos
Royce Geospatial Consultants
Reinventing Geospatial
Research Innovations
OM Group
Solis Applied Science
Strategic Alliance Consulting

The order-dependent contract covers research, integration, development and support services for the Army’s geospatial systems. The project is anticipated to run through May 4, 2030. The U.S. Army Corps of Engineers’ Army Geospatial Center in Alexandria, Virginia, will determine work locations and allocate funding with each order. An online solicitation was issued for the project, which garnered eight bids.

The Army Corps of Engineers initially sought solicitations for the GRIDS IV contract in January 2024. Under the indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract, the selected vendors will develop geospatial enterprise systems and deliver geospatial support directly to the warfighters.

In February 2018, General Dynamics’ One Source business and Leidos were awarded spots on a potential $200 million GRIDS III contract.
