Shawn Purvis Named Sabel Systems CEO

Shawn Purvis, a more than three-decade industry executive and a four-time Wash100 awardee, has joined Sagewind Capital-backed Sabel Systems Technology Solutions as CEO.

In a LinkedIn post published Tuesday, Sabel Systems said Purvis brings to the company over 30 years of experience in digital transformation, enterprise strategy and operational excellence, as well as expertise in technology integration, strategic growth and business transformation. She has led the implementation of mission-driven innovation across the defense, intelligence, information systems and cyber industries.

Purvis expressed her excitement about joining Sabel Systems and the Sagewind Capital team.

“Sabel Systems is a leading provider of Digital Engineering Solutions, driving innovation and advanced digital transformation solutions for our customers’ critical mission. I’m honored to join the highly talented employees who have a passion for our company and our customers. I look forward to a very bright and successful future together!” the chief executive said in her post on the professional networking site.

Shawn Purvis’ Career Background

Purvis most recently served as president and CEO of QinetiQ US.

Prior to QinetiQ US, she spent a decade at Northrop Grumman, where she held various leadership positions, including corporate vice president and president of the enterprise services sector, chief information officer and general manager of the cyber division.

The Hampton University graduate served as a senior VP at SAIC.

Purvis holds a master’s degree in information systems from George Mason University.
