The Space Systems Command has issued a request for information to determine the capabilities of potential vendors to provide the logistics sustainment support services for instrumentation tracking systems supported by the Instrumentation Range Support Program, or IRSP.
Instrumentation Range Support Program Contract
According to the notice published on SAM.gov Wednesday, the IRSP contract involves the procurement of supply items including components and subsystems for Instrumentation Tracking Systems, or ITS, for 33 continental U.S., or CONUS, and outside the CONUS test ranges worldwide. This includes radars, global positioning systems, optical range mission systems, telemetry, flight termination systems and data acquisition systems. The contract also covers engineering and inventory management services.
The proposed contract, a re-competition of the IRSP III contract at Patrick Space Force Base in Florida, will have a possible ceiling value between $500 million to $1 billion. The chosen contractor will have a 180-day transition period to prepare for the project, which is expected to have a 10-year ordering period starting on Oct. 1, 2027.
Interested small businesses may send their responses until Feb. 19.
