The U.S. Navy has awarded Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT) a $422.2 million contract valued to provide logistics, sustainment, project management and engineering services in support of the Czech Republic’s F-35 Joint Strike Fighter program.
Work on the foreign military sale will be performed in undisclosed locations within and outside the continental United States until September 2027, the Department of Defense said Thursday.
The Navy will obligate the full contract amount from FMS customer funds at the time of the award. Naval Air Systems Command serves as the contracting activity.
The award comes months after the Czech Republic received approval from the State Department to purchase 24 units of the F-35 conventional take-off and landing variant for $5.6 billion. The FMS also covers personnel training and logistical support.
In a January press release that followed Prague’s signing of a letter of offer and acceptance for the F-35s, Lockheed said the aircraft will be delivered starting in 2031.
The stealth combat aircraft operates from 32 bases around the world, according to the aerospace company.
