Also referred to as the Virginia Spaceport Authority, the VCSFA is a state organization focused on expanding access to space for both public and private sector customers while promoting STEM education, economic development and aerospace research across the commonwealth.
The agency is also responsible for developing and improving infrastructure to support timely, efficient, safe and low-cost access to space. It oversees the Mid-Atlantic Regional Spaceport, a Federal Aviation Administration-licensed facility for vertical launches to orbit.
