The global consulting and technology services provider said Tuesday Birken will oversee ICF’s federal technology and digital experience business and supervise a team tasked with digital modernization efforts.
Building on his two-decade leadership and growth experience, Birken will lead around 2,000 professionals from different disciplines supporting government agencies and other clients through technology capabilities, digital engagement and data analytics tools and services.
The management consulting and technology expert was previously the SVP of the ICF’s transformation, security and social services division. In this role, Birken spearheaded the growth of the company’s cybersecurity business.
John Wasson, chair and CEO of ICF and a previous Wash100 awardee, expressed confidence in Birken’s ability to guide the company’s federal digital modernization business.
“He has led some of our most complex projects that sit at the intersection of domain and technology. He has the business, technical and partner management acumen needed to successfully navigate the increasingly complex federal technology ecosystem and deliver high-value solutions to our clients,” said Wasson.
