BAE Receives $104M in USMC Contract Modifications for Amphibious Combat Vehicle Production

BAE Systems has secured a pair of contract modifications worth $104 million combined to build additional amphibious combat vehicles for the U.S. Marine Corps.

The company said Monday it will produce and deliver production representative test vehicles to support government testing of the ACV’s recovery variant in 2025 under a $79 million contract modification.

The award follows the design and development phase of the ACV-R variant, which will provide recovery, maintenance and direct field support to the family of vehicles.

BAE produces the ACV-R vehicles at its facilities in Virginia, California, Michigan, South Carolina and Pennsylvania.

The company also secured a $25 million firm-fixed-price modification for the full-rate production of the ACV’s personnel variant and associated production, fielding and sustainment and test equipment.

Sixty percent of work will occur in Pennsylvania and the rest in South Carolina, California, Michigan and Virginia through July 2026, the Department of Defense said in a separate announcement.

The Marine Corps anticipates receiving the ACV-Personnel units starting in late 2025.
