The State Department has approved a possible $1.95 billion sale of UH-60M Black Hawk helicopters to the government of Greece.
Lockheed Martin (NYSE: LMT) subsidiary Sikorsky will complete the order as lead contractor, the Defense Security Cooperation Agency said Friday.
The foreign military sale includes 35 Black Hawk helicopters as well as their components and any logistics and technical support needed.
Sikorsky is expected to supply T700-GE 701D engines, AN/AAR-57 common missile warning systems and H-764U embedded global position systems with inertial navigation and country unique selective availability anti-spoofing module. Other components to be provided are radar altimeters and color weather radars, AVR-2B laser detecting sets andMartin-Baker Palletized Crew Chief/Gunner seats.
The company will also be responsible for training, logistics and maintenance assistance.
DSCA has notified Congress of the deal, which is part of Greece’s multi-role helicopter fleet upgrades.
