Following the transaction whose financial terms were not disclosed, Anduril said Thursday it will utilize Blue Force Technologies’ digital engineering and drone hardware and software capabilities to advance manned-unmanned teaming and other autonomous offerings for the defense sector.
Blue Force Technologies is the developer of Fury, a group 5 autonomous air vehicle prototype that has recently flown as a digital engineering model onboard the Air Force Test Pilot School’s X-62 Variable Stability In-flight Simulator Test Aircraft.
Anduril plans to continue the development of the Fury AAV, expand manufacturing capacity in North Carolina and accelerate technology development to support future autonomous capabilities.
The acquisition follows the launch of Anduril’s Lattice for Mission Autonomy software designed to enable a single operator to manage teams of autonomous systems to achieve complex missions.
The McLean Group served as financial adviser to Blue Force Technologies on this acquisition.
