Science Applications International Corp. (NYSE: SAIC) will help the Defense Counterintelligence and Security Agency update information technology systems under a potential five-year, $889 million contract.
The General Services Administration’s Federal Systems Integration and Management Center issued the award for “One IT” development and implementation support services, the company said Tuesday.
SAIC will serve as the project’s prime contractor to streamline IT operations across the DCSA enterprise and assist the agency in complying with the government’s national industrial security requirements.
Services under the contract include planning and systems architecture development; network, database and storage engineering; cybersecurity, application development and sustainment; and service desk.
Michael LaRouche, president of SAIC’s national security and space sector at SAIC, said the company will build on the expertise of its cloud architects, modernization engineers and integration specialists to help the agency manage IT operations efficiency and effectiveness.
“We are eager to begin work with DCSA on this critical IT modernization program and deliver network availability anytime, anywhere and under any circumstances,” the two-time Wash100 Award recipient added.
The contract has a one-year base performance period along with four one-year options.
