HII Lands $1.3B USAFRICOM Personnel Recovery Support Task Order; Andy Green Quoted

HII’s (NYSE: HII) Mission Technologies division will provide personnel recovery and casualty evacuation support services to U.S. Africa Command under the potential seven-year $1.3 billion ASTRO task order awarded by the General Services Administration’s Federal Systems Integration and Management Center.

HII said Tuesday it will support USAFRICOM’s Warfighter Recovery Network under the Personnel Recovery Enterprise Services and Solutions task order by providing medical, rotary and fixed-wing platforms to speed up evacuation response and transport and improve the survival rates of personnel in the command’s area of responsibility.

“The PRESS mission goes hand-in-hand with HII’s mission to support and deliver all-domain solutions that create the advantage for the Combatant Commands in their mission to protect our national security around the world,” said Andy Green, president of HII Mission Technologies.

“We are proud to partner with USAFRICOM to provide life-saving operations to the women and men who serve our nation,” added Green, a 2023 Wash100 awardee.

The PRESS task order has a one-year base term and six option years.
