Navy Picks BAE, Serco, SRC for $537M Shipboard C4I Integration Contract

BAE Systems, Serco and Scientific Research Corp. have won spots on a $536.7 million contract to engineer shipboard command, control, communications, computers and intelligence systems for the U.S. Navy.

The three companies will compete for task orders under the indefinite-delivery/indefinite-quantity contract to integrate, test and install C4I equipment, plus supporting data, on surface vessels, the Department of Defense said Friday.

Naval Information Warfare Systems Command received three bids for the cost-plus-fixed-fee multiple-award contract via a full and open competition.

The service branch will obligate $10,000 on its initial order for each awardee using fiscal 2023 shipbuilding and conversion, and research and development funds.

Contract work will occur in Alabama, California, Louisiana, Maine, Mississippi, South Carolina, Washington and Wisconsin.
