Don Claussen, a 15-year satellite communications industry veteran, has been appointed CEO of Herndon, Virginia-based satcom provider ST Engineering iDirect.
He will be responsible for helping drive ST Engineering iDirect’s vision to expand its presence in the global satcom marketplace, the company said Monday.
Claussen most recently served as VP of business development, strategy, product management and service delivery at Intelsat General.
Before Intelsat, he was VP of business development and general manager of Army and international programs at L3Harris Technologies (NYSE: LHX).
The U.S. Army veteran also served as a business unit director focused on broadband and narrowband satcom product lines at Viasat (Nasdaq: VSAT).
“Don’s strong credentials and experience will be instrumental in steering ST Engineering iDirect to its next phase of growth,” said Tim McBride, president of ST Engineering’s U.S. headquarters.
