Dr. Colin Chinn, chief medical officer of the global health and financial solutions sector at Peraton, has joined a federal advisory committee that advises the Department of Defense on health-related matters.
He will serve a four-year term on the Defense Health Board and help provide independent advice to the DOD secretary on issues associated with the health and safety of U.S. military personnel, Peraton said Monday.
Chinn held various executive medical positions during his nearly four-decade career at the U.S. Navy. His service leadership roles included chief of the Navy Medical Corps, chief medical adviser to the Chairman of the Joint Chiefs of Staff, director of TRICARE Region West and acting deputy director of the Defense Health Agency.
The retired Navy rear admiral joined Peraton in March 2021 after a part-time stint as a consulting medical officer at Northrop Grumman (NYSE: NOC).
