Al Tadros, a more than three-decade space industry veteran, has assumed the chief technology officer post at Redwire (NYSE: RDW), succeeding Michael Snyder, who will now serve as technical fellow at the Florida-based aerospace manufacturer and space infrastructure technology company.
Redwire said Tuesday Tadros’ transition from his recent role as chief growth officer is in support of the company’s efforts to work on technical programs that are more complex and extensive.
Commenting on the recent executive move, Peter Cannito, chairman and CEO of Redwire, said, “[Tadros’] proven success on large, complex space programs will position Redwire to scale our capabilities and take on more high impact, technical programs.”
The new CTO joined Redwire in August 2020 after serving at Maxar Technologies (NYSE: MAXR) as vice president of space infrastructure and civil space for almost 4 years. Prior to that, he was with Space Systems/Loral for over 25 years serving engineering and business development roles of increasing responsibilities.
“As CTO, I will focus on making strategic investments that support our customers’ key missions, prioritizing technology development and commercialization, and maintaining a nimble and collaborative culture,” he said in a LinkedIn post.
As part of Tadros’ transition, Michael Gold, executive VP of civil and commercial space, and Dean Bellamy, EVP of national security space, will take on the responsibility of leading the growth strategy of Redwire.
